Share a fun personal fact with us

Growing up, I worked at my father’s motor dealership where I washed more than 10,000 cars in the sun, rain and snow. I have not washed my own car since.

How has Grant Thornton supported your personal commitments and ambitions?

In my early career, Grant Thornton provided me with the opportunity to work in the tax and advisory service lines in order to get experience in these areas. Later, I was able to go on secondment to the US and I am currently on a secondment with Grant Thornton International Ltd.

Has any aspect of working at Grant Thornton surprised you?

Despite coming from different cultures and countries, we all share very similar values when it comes to serving our clients and developing our people. Our global values have been embraced across the globe and are evident when I meet my international colleagues.

My experience

“Despite coming from different cultures and countries, people at Grant Thornton share very similar values when it comes to serving our clients and developing our people.”

What have been the highlights of your experience with Grant Thornton?

There are too many to list. If I had to choose three, I would say being involved as a business leader in the Advanced Manager Programme, being elected to and serving on the US Partnership Board by my peers and taking one the US firm’s largest clients through the Initial Public Offering process.

I’ve also had the chance to travel internationally, meet colleagues from around the world and learn about different cultures. I’ve been very lucky and have made many good friends all over the world through Grant Thornton.

What’s the best piece of advice you've received while working with Grant Thornton?

Seek to learn from the behaviours of those with experience; be observant. Sometimes you can learn from things that are effective and sometimes you can learn from things that don’t work. Every experience is a learning opportunity.

What makes Grant Thornton a great place to work?

The variety of ways in which people can contribute to the success of the global organisation and the access to career opportunities.

How would you describe the culture at Grant Thornton in ten words or fewer?

Entrepreneurial and dynamic.
